Yael, an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with some of Australia's top storytellers, stars of performance and visionaries working behind the scenes of film TV, theatre, and film. Yael's career is rich throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael found her new place of residence with the city of New York City when the production premiered to acclaim at The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery encourages innovative writing, and creative endeavors through its Bushwick studio.
