Srushti Dehmukh was preparing to sit for UPSC when she was in her final year of her engineering degree. When she graduated, she questioned whether she was able to be satisfied in the engineering role. Then she realized that her dream job was in civil service and started to focus on it. She was urged by her parents to go after careers in civil services and to prepare for examinations. Her motivation never waned, and remained focused solely on her goal of becoming an IAS. To achieve UPSC it is necessary to put in more work. She was also preparing for UPSC tests while she was studying engineering. Each day she would set aside time to study for her exam. Within just one and a half months, she passed her engineering tests, but stayed clear of any social interaction. It is important to focus to pass this exam. She wants to become a civil servant. She made a lot of effort to pass the exam on the first try. To keep up to date with current affairs, she used to regularly go through news papers. Also, she received a lot of help online collecting different study materials and taking in Rajya Sabha TV.
