Maria Menounos

Maria helped her mother, who was suffering from the stage 4 brain cancer. The doctor told her that she was suffering from an extremely serious health condition. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She has told PEOPLE they've noticed headaches and lightheadedness from February 2014. "My speech became blurred. Also, I had difficulty understanding the Teleprompter." An MRI showed that Menounos had a golf-ball-size meningioma brain tumor pushing on her facial nerves. Menounos agreed to an appointment in conjunction with Dr. Keith L. Black her mother's neurosurgeon , and scheduled surgery for June 8. Menounos is now 39 years old. She says that he said, "I am 98 percent positive that the tumor is not malignant, however, we won't know until we actually get there," The complex procedure, lasting about 7 hours, Dr. Black was able to remove 99.9 percent of the tumour. This was benign. "He stated that there's an 8% to 7% chance that we'll see it come back," she says. But I will accept these odds at any moment. Menounos, who was admitted to hospital for 6 days, is now at home and spending time healing. Maria Maria Maria
